We are introducing GBAGlobal, both GBA and GBAGlobal will remain Government Blockchain Association. We the explosive growth of over 1,400 members and 50 Chapters around the world (and dozens more on the horizon), we believe this change better represents our brand to be inclusive and more integrated with all Governments and people around the world.
To strengthen the GBA brand, you’ll notice our new logo. The GBA abbreviation along with a sphere of connected nodes, this is to align with the core tenant of strength and trust, not only in blockchain but also the connectivity of all the members of GBA around the globe.
We’ve also made some changes to the website, feedback from the members indicated the need for a more collaborative, shared workspace and communication platform. Therefore, we have introduced a social platform that includes rich and dynamic user profiles along with an improved member directory, chapter directory and working group shared forums.
Please check your profile and confirm it is up to date with your chapter affiliation, working group memberships and pertinent professional information. With the more social collaboration platform, your profile is the center of your online GBS identification. It will enhance your efforts to network collaborate and coordinate with other GBA members. This also allows others to find you for your knowledge and expertise. You should see new ways that people can connect to working groups, chapters and message each other. Blogs and events are now connected to working groups and chapters. The entire site is much more integrated and conducive to collaboration.
The key to social collaboration and becoming recognized as a SME starts with your profile.
Also, be sure you’re up to date with local Chapters and attend their monthly meetings. The Chapters are were you can meet and network with fellow professionals in your area.
And since much of the value comes from virtual collaboration and participation, if you are a civil servant, professional or corporate member, be sure to get involved in as many Working Groups as you like. The Working Groups are were public and private sector Professional Members meet to work on projects.
GBA has recently launched Communities of Interest, these networks will span across geographical regions and provide the Working Groups with new projects and opportunities for members to work on helping governments meet their mission and needs.
If you’re not already a GBA Certified Consultant, be sure to visit our Certified Government Blockchain Specialist Curriculum to sign up to take the 5-day course. New scheduled courses are being added daily, be sure to be on our mailing list to receive updates of when we will be in your area.
If you are a student, or know a student, that is looking to enter the blockchain technology as a developer or business technologist, be sure to check out our Student Chapters (or start a chapter on your campus).
This is an exciting stage in the explosive growth of blockchain in the Public and Private sectors and GBA is leading the advocacy and facilitation of blockchain adoption for civil servants, professional and corporate members around the world.
Thank you to each of you. GBA would not exist without the power and strength of all the members to engage and participate in helping Governments better meet their mission needs and to serve its constituents.
