Local, state (provincial), national and international government employees, along with members of the Government Blockchain Association, are invited to participate in a Working Group to study the opportunities and risks of blockchain technologies when applied to government budgeting, appropriations and tracking. This working groups examines how blockchain technologies can be used to by legislative bodies and administrative bodies to draft, review and pass budget resolutions and appropriation bills. It also looks at reconciliation processes, allocation and tracking of government funds. The purpose of this Working Group (WG) is to study these issues and describe the potential impact. The output will include recommendations to government leaders regarding recommended actions to take advantage of these new technologies and mitigate risks.
